Moon and grand reaper1/1/2024 ![]() The Reaper’s Class Identity is built around three Modes Normal Mode, Persona Mode, and Chaos Mode. If you're looking for a fast-paced and rewarding class to play, you found her. It has the best sound design out of any class I've played and constantly keeps you on your toes. The class is very unique in the way it moves and deals damage. Even with the game releasing in the West I still regularly played my Reapers. “Reaper was the first class that I picked up when I started playing Lost Ark about a year and a half ago. Before we dive into what the class is all about, here’s a note from Reaper expert Grenton on why the Reaper is his favorite class: In this Lost Ark Academy, you’ll find information to see if the Reaper is the class for you- and if so, help you start planning the skills and engravings you’re interested in using to enhance your impact on the battlefield. ![]() I would honestly say it's more of a damage buff to your ability (only one) than a window to activate abilities (multiple) to burst. The Reaper will join the Deathblade and Shadowhunter as the third Assassin Advanced Class. That window is missing in the above, although you could argue that Moon Reaper has it too, but it is over after only 1 ability. From what I know from Igniter, you fill up your meter in 1.5 rotations, activate Arcane Rupture when appropriate and deal as much damage as possible in that window. Shock Scrapper has a rotation where approximately 50% of your total damage is combined in 2 skills and 50% in 3 others. Deathblow Striker and Moon Reaper both fill up their meter and fire an Esoteric or red skill. Very high damage and very high mobility, but at the cost of low survivability.Įdit: regarding the designation of burst classes, I would honestly not call any of the above classes (excluding Gunlancer and Destroyer due to lack of experience) as burst classes, except Igniter Sorceress. Moon Reaper's damage ceiling might not be as high as Deathblow Striker's (but that has to do with a certain card set and not the class itself), but it is considered to be quite substantial. In KR, its perceived damage ceiling is up there with Deathblow Striker. This may be personal opinion, but I also find Shock Scrapper extremely low risk for the rewards. ![]() Moon Reaper would probably feel too spammy. If my idea of Gunlancer and Destroyer being slow classes is right, then I think you can compare Shock Scrapper to those. It fits in well with Deathblow Striker and Igniter Sorceress (I have no experience with Destroyer and Gunlancer). If I had to recommend you something based on what you listed above, I'd say Shock Scrapper. In that rotation you will fill up your meter with a combo of dagger and shadow abilities and use it to buff your red skill. The whole rotation takes about 15 seconds. Moon Reaper wants to fill up its meter and use one of these abilites in order of damage. Reaper has only 3 burst abilities that contain basically all your damage (listed from highest damage to lowest): Rage Spear, Last Graffiti (or Glowing Brand as it will be called in our version) and Dance of Fury. No need to build up meter as your rotation and debuffs will take care of that, the only thing you should take into account is that you need at least 75% Shock meter for Death Rattle to do its full damage. One entire rotation will take a long time to complete and will most likely be interrupted by normal patterns. You basically want to debuff the target every time before doing these abilities. You can add the spammable damage of Roundup Sweep in this list, but I wouldn't refer to it as burst. Shock has Death Rattle, Supernova, Chain Destruction Fist and True Rising Fist (or Potent Fist, changed in a previous patch) as high damage abilites. With Shock you will also notice that you have more hard hitting abilities than on Moon Reaper. Biggest difference, in my opinion, would be that Moon Reaper is extremely fast and mobile, whereas Shock Scrapper is quite slow and next to no mobility.
